June Favorites!

Happy July everyone! Another month has passed by and it’s getting so hot! Below are my June favorites. I didn’t have that many favorites this month but I really am enjoyed these items this month! Hope you are all ready for the 4th of July celebrations!

1. Maybelline Line Stiletto Liquid Eyeliner

Lately I’ve been really trying to do minimal makeup and haven’t wanted to wear my gel liner so I have giver this liquid eyeliner a try. Although it is not my favorite, it has come in handy when I am in a hurry. The formula is not that great and you really have to apply it multiple times to get a good black. However, it has been good to me in the speediness section!

2. NYX Eucalyptus

This month I have put my red lipstick away and busted out my pinks. When I first saw Eucalyptus, I was scared by all the shimmer it had but now I love it! It’s very loud but it is great for the summer!

3. Neon Target Vneck

I’ve always heard so many good things about these V-Necks but I never bought them because I found them at forever 21 for a lot less. Now I know why these are better! Main reason is that when I wash this shirt, it maintains the shape and length. This is always a problem for me with Forever 21 t-shirts because it always feels like they either got short or wide.

4. Coach wristlet

I got this cute wristlet from a coworker as a gift and I’ve loved it lately to carry all my essentials. It’s great because I can just transfer it from bag to bag or just run out with it and not have to worry about carrying a huge bag.

What are some of your favorites this month?

Tips for Quick Makeup Look

Sometimes we just don’t have time in the morning to do a full face of makeup! It happens to me all the time so I found a way to look nice and refreshed while only spending about 3 minutes and using 4 items!

Here I am with no makeup. (Yikes!)

Here are the products I used:

Maybelline Colossal:

I’ve talked about this mascara before and will continue to say how wonderful it is! Putting on mascara will really open up your eyes and make you look refreshed!

Revlon Photo Ready Concealer:

This concealer has been working great for me so obviously it is something that I use almost daily. The coverage is great but it’s not heavy! It also adds some bightens yet conceals any under eye dark circles!

ELF Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder:

Great for a quick sweep of bronzer and blush all in the same container. Using this will really sculpt your face and it’s really quick to apply!

NYX Color Lip Balm:

I finished off the look with a lip balm that provides color and moisture in one tube!

Here is the final look!

I look refreshed and ready for a wonderful day.

Hope you guys enjoyed this!

Comment below if you try it or have any other quick tips that help you out in the morning!

Orlando Haul

This weekend I had the chance to go to Orlando to visit my boyfriend. Of course I did some shopping! If you follow me on twitter, you saw some of the stuff I got. I will go into more detail and show you all the other items I purchased 🙂

Charlotte Russe Accessories

All their accessories are on sale for $5 so I took advantage and got this amazing bracelet and cute pair of hear earrings.

Victoria’s Secret Bikini Bottom

Got these bikini bottoms for $2.99 at the Victoria’s Secret Outlet in a Peach color! What a steal!

Forever 21 Maxi Dress

Got this maxi dress for $14.50 and it’s very comfortable!

Forever 21 Chain Link Necklace

I’ve been wanting a necklace like this for a while but they are always so pricey! Found this one at Forever 21 for $10.80 and was so excited!

MAC Mocha

I got this lipstick from the CCO at the outlet and loved the color! It was also a good deal, $11! It was hard being in a CCO because I wanted to buy anything!

Ross

I finally went to Ross after a few months! I’m always upset because there is no Ross in NYC and I love that store so much! I got this really cute purse for $9.99 and TWO false lashes for $1.99! I love that store!

Ulta

Ulta happened to be right next to Ross so I made a little visit! NYX items were buy one, get one 50% off so I picked up these two lip colors! NYX Color in Tack and NYX Round lipstick in Eucalyptus. Lastly I got an EOS Lip Balm in Strawberry Sorbet.

H&M

Last stop of my shopping extravaganza was H&M where I found this beautiful bag ($17.95) and this phone cover ($5)!

The bag has a thin gold chain so it also becomes a cross body!

This picture doesn’t give the color justice because it’s a beautiful neon color!

That’s all for my haul! Hope you all enjoyed it!

Favorite Neutral Palette

Now a days there are so many nude palettes on the market that it becomes difficult to find one that suits you. Like everyone else, I wanted to try the coveted Urban Decay Naked Palette but didn’t really want to spend the $50 on it. So one day at Ulta, I spotted the NYX Nude on Nude palette that retails for $25 on sale for $14! Without hesitation, I purchased it and have never looked back!

*The Palette is currently $25 at Ulta but always look out for a sale!*

Why I love it:

  • Amazing range of colors!
  • Matte and shimmer shades
  • 20 shades!
  • Very pigmented
  • Amazing lasting power (with primer!)
  • The price!
  • Multipurpose
  • Every color you need in one compact package
  • Includes lip colors!
  • Lot of great one color shades for quick makeup looks
  • Cruelty Free

Swatches:

The palette really lets you play up a nude look during the day but also intensify at night with one of the amazing darker shades.

There isn’t enough good things that I can say about this palette because it has really come in handy! I used it on my graduation photos on my friend and I and it was amazing!

As always, I use a primer before applying the shadows for better lasting power and I’m always impressed by how beautiful the colors show up.

This is a picture taken by Alexander Rothschild for our College Graduations! My friend Jenine (left) and I right both have on the NYX Nude on Nude Palette and it truly photographed well!

Here is a close-up of my eyes after using the NYX Palette!

Hope you all enjoyed this post about my favorite nude palette! What is your favorite nude palette?

This product was purchased by me and these are my true and honest opinions!

What’s in my travel makeup bag!

This weekend I’m in Orlando to see my boyfriend and as I was packing I thought about being really good with the amount of makeup I took! On this particular trip, I was only taking a carry on just because I didn’t want to trot around with a huge bag for just one weekend. I went light on my makeup bag with which is pretty impressive and I’m pretty happy with myself! I also knew that I would go shopping so downsizing the amount of clothes wasn’t that hard.

In this post, I will share with you all what I take in my makeup bag for one weekend.
