Happy 2013 everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful Holiday season full of joy!
Now I know I am not alone in this but my favorite part of celebrating New Years Eve is getting all dolled up with my greatest sparkly clothes and makeup! This year was no exception and my first step were my nails.
I used Lincoln Park After Dark from OPI and Sparked by Wet and Wild (On Sale right now for $.79!).
Step 1: Apply favorite base coat
Step 2: Apply two coats of Lincoln Park After Dark
Step 3: Let dry
Step 4: Apply a line close to the top of the nail with your favorite glitter polish (Do NOT let this dry!)
Step 5: Clean off glitter polish brush
Step 6: Pull down the glitter with your brush for the ombré effect
Step 7: Repeat as desired
Step 8: Apply favorite top coat
Hope the steps make sense! Feel free to ask any questions in the comments section if you are confused.
I did this on my toes as well and love it! I will definitely do this again with another color combination.
Here’s a peek at my New Years Eve look! I went for a simple look with vampy lips and bouncy curls.
Tell me about your New Year in the comments! What look did you go for and what are you most looking forward to in 2013.
P.S. I’m searching for guest bloggers to be featured! Email me at email@example.com if you are interested!
This weeks nails feature a beautiful shade of blue from Sinful Colors called Rain Storm.
Most impressive part of this polish is that I only used ONE coat!
I used the OPI top coat so hopefully the lasting power will be as good as it was with the Essie polish.
Please let me know in the comments below if you guys want to see another update about this specific nail polish.
Have a great day!
Good evening everyone! First and foremost, I want to thank those who commented on my Essie nail polish post about its longevity. I had a friend who was having some trouble with Essie nail polishes and wanted to know if anyone else was having the same issue.
I wanted to let you guys know how my experience was going with my first ever Essie nail polish in the color Raise Awareness. The color is absolutely beautiful!
Below is a picture of what my nails look like after 8 days with the Essie polish.
The most surprising part about this self manicure is how long it lasted without chipping! It always feels like that’s the first thing that goes wrong.
For this complete at home manicure I used:
Sally Hansen Hard as Nail Hardener as my base coat ($2.89)
Essie’s Raise Awareness ($3.99 TJ Maxx)
OPI Top Coat ($8)
I will mention that everyone has different experiences with nail polish but this is what worked for me! Please let me know in the comments section what has worked for you!

Happy Saturday everyone!
A few weeks ago I wrote about a some Sephora Goodies that I received as a gift from Lia and Cindy. With the gift, I received the Sephora for OPI Perfect Pair in the color Duo You Wanna Have Fun? It’s a beautiful coral color and a gold fine glitter polish.
This week I used both of the polishes to create a cool look with the glitter.
I applied a base coat, two coats of the coral color and then alternated with a half of each nail with the glitter color. It came out pretty cool so I’m pretty happy with it! As you can tell from the pictures, the glitter has an amazing sheen that looks great in the sun! I’d also say that the color with no flash is more of the true color because the flash on the bottom picture makes it look a lot more on the pink side.
Hope you all enjoyed this! Have a fabulous weekend!
Don’t forget to comment with any feedback about anything you’d like to see on my page! I’d really appreciate it! 🙂
