Essie’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month Collection 2012

Happy Saturday!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and a lot of pink usually hits the shelves as a form of contribution to different organizations from companies. On this blog I want to showcase Essie‘s collection for the month featuring four gorgeous pink hues.

The colors are called; i am strong, good morning hope, check-up and we’re in it together.

First and foremost, I absolutely LOVE the names and how powerful they are. I picked up the shade called check-up and it’s a beautiful shade of pink!

I know that it may look like just a regular pink but it’s truly a unique pink. The formula is incredible and has lasted over 2 weeks on my nails without major chipping.

Has anyone else picked up one of these colors?

Nail of the Week!

This weeks nails feature a beautiful shade of blue from Sinful Colors called Rain Storm.

Most impressive part of this polish is that I only used ONE coat!

I used the OPI top coat so hopefully the lasting power will be as good as it was with the Essie polish.

Please let me know in the comments below if you guys want to see another update about this specific nail polish.

Have a great day!

UPDATE: Essie Nail Polish

Good evening everyone! First and foremost, I want to thank those who commented on my Essie nail polish post about its longevity. I had a friend who was having some trouble with Essie nail polishes and wanted to know if anyone else was having the same issue.

I wanted to let you guys know how my experience was going with my first ever Essie nail polish in the color Raise Awareness. The color is absolutely beautiful!

Below is a picture of what my nails look like after 8 days with the Essie polish.

The most surprising part about this self manicure is how long it lasted without chipping! It always feels like that’s the first thing that goes wrong.

For this complete at home manicure I used:

Sally Hansen Hard as Nail Hardener as my base coat ($2.89)

Essie’s Raise Awareness ($3.99 TJ Maxx)

OPI Top Coat ($8)

I will mention that everyone has different experiences with nail polish but this is what worked for me! Please let me know in the comments section what has worked for you!

🙂

Sale Alert!!

Good evening everyone! I have a confession to make…

I bought my first Essie nail polish today!

I know, I’m EXTREMELY late with Essie but today I was doing a little shopping at T.J. Maxx and happened to stumble upon some nail polishes by the register. You know how all these stores have cute stuff set up around the purchase line and today there was quite a back up. Good thing for that because I was able to score my FIRST Essie nail polish for…

$3.99!

This beautiful pink shade was part of their Breast Cancer Awareness month.

It’s called Raise Awareness and I love it! Can’t wait to feature it on a Nail of the Week post!

Here’s the proof of the price! The polishes were by the register and they had 3 other Essie colors available. I know that not all T.J. Maxx stores will carry these specific polishes but as always I encourage you to take a trip and hunt for it because you never know what you will find! 🙂

Have a great night everyone! 🙂
