Hey everyone! Hope your week is going well! This weekend I visited a few places that just like any other woman, I fell in love and wanted to buy the store. Seems like that happens to me quite often so I decided to start a new series of blog posts called “If I shopped at….”. Each time I will feature a store and what I would buy!
I really hope you guys enjoy this and if you have any stores or websites you think I should feature, let me know!
So here’s the first one!
My best friend wanted to visit the store while she was here and I must say that they have some amazing dresses! I found some of my favorites online.
Now, I will mention that this is only my favorite dresses! Maybe I’ll have to do a part 2 with all my other favorite pieces from the store!
Hope you all enjoyed this!
I’m so excited to say that I own my first Too Faced Palette! I’ve always seen the brand at stores like Sephora and Ulta but never really purchased it since it can be a bit pricey. Can I also mention that they have the cutest packaging ever!
However, this past Monday I found the In Your Dreams Palette for $9.99 at Urban Outfitters! Yes you read that right, $9.99! As you probably already know, I was extremely excited and didn’t hesitate the purchase! The palette was originally $39!
The palette is from their Holiday 2011 collection and it has absolutely gorgeous colors!
The palette contains 9 eyeshadow colors, 3 blushes and 3 lip colors!
Here are swatches:
One aspect I really like about the palette is the looks it has on the inside flap! They showcase 3 very different yet appropriate looks that can be achieved with this palette! It gives me a lot of great inspiration.
As mentioned before, I’m really excited about this purchase especially because of the deal! I have checked the Urban Outfitters website but it says they are not in stock. However, my local Urban had 2 more palettes left so I highly suggest you take a visit and check it out! It wouldn’t hurt to find one of these babies lying around the store.
Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend! I have a special guest in town for the weekend and decided to share our outfits for a day out in the city. My best friend Anaili is here to see the One Direction concert today so spent all of yesterday basking in the beauty that is New York City!
We both decided to wear something with pastel colors since the day was absolutely beautiful!
This is us outside of the New York Public Library!
I am wearing:
Anaili is wearing:
- Mint pants from Forever 21 $14.50
- Top from Nordstrom Rack
- Cross body Bag from Target $24.99
- Sandals in Cognac from Target $15.99
- Sunglasses from Rayban
As far as makeup, we kept it pretty light since we were in a rush to start our excursion through the city!
One last picture at a French Bakery that is delicious! It’s called Laduree and it has the most amazing Macarons ever! If you’re ever in the city, check them out!
Hope you all enjoyed this post! 🙂
Yesterday I went to Target with my friend Denise and we just happened to make our way to the shoe sale section and few a few goodies!
My friend bought both of these wedges and they are not only adorable but such a steal!
I found them on the Target website but they don’t come up as on sale but I highly suggest you check out your local store! You never know what you will find! 🙂
She got these for $7.48!
And these for $8.98!
Again, you can find the tan pair and the blue pair online but they don’t show the sale price! Check out your local Target!
Let me know if you find these or any other good sales!
Last night was the Billboard Music Awards and there were some beautiful red carpet looks!
My absolute favorite was Taylor Swift! Big congratulations on being named ‘Woman of the Year’!
Ok maybe I also liked Carrie Underwood! Her dress was insane!
What are your thoughts? Any favorites?
Since spring has sprung, I love being able to put my colors together to go out at night. My favorite color is pink and I personally love to pair it with royal blue just because they compliment each other so well. For this outfit, I paired the two colors while keeping the rest of the pieces neutral.
I also want to mention that this whole outfit was a great deal! This pink blazer is amazing and only $6 from my local GoodWill shop! Blazers tend to get a little pricey so I suggest going to a thrift shop and looking through to find your next favorite blazer.
White T-shirt from Forever 21 $4.80
Blue Skirt from Forever 21 $6.80
Pink Blazer was thrifted from Goodwill $6
Glitter Pumps from Target $8.98 (Got these on sale a while back)
Gold Chain Link Necklace from Forever 21 $10.80
I’ve also got my natural curly hair making a come back now that it’s pretty hot out. More details about the products I use will come soon!
For my face I kept it pretty simple using:
Nude on Nude by NYX
Mac Blacktrack Fluid line
Wet & Wild Ultimate Brow Kit
ELF Blush and Bronzer Duo
MAC Studio Fix Powder in NC35
Myself and the Empire State Building behind me! I love NYC!
Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!
What’s your favorite thrift store find?
Who doesn’t love a good eyeshadow palette for under $5?! I know that I do, and I have one that has absolutely beautiful colors. They may not be the most practical but they are great for a night out or for a dramatic look. Wet & Wild keeps on impressing me with amazing palettes that are not only a great deal but also very nicely pigmented!
One of my favorites is the Blue Had Me At Hello 8 color palette. There are 4 frosty colors, 3 with sparkle and one matte. It’s in the blue family with one white shade on the top left and one matte black on the bottom left. As you can tell from the swatch below, the colors are all extremely pigmented!
I used this for a Britney Spears “I’m a Slave for You” inspired makeup look for her Femme Fatale Concert last year. The colors looked amazing!
For this look, all I used was the Wet & Wild Palette!
My two beautiful friends, Anaili & Jessica showing off their makeup on our way to the Britney Concert!
I know that sometimes there is a misconception with cheaper makeup but Wet & Wild is truly an exemption and the pictures above say it all!
Have any of you used this palette before? Any other favorite Wet & Wild palettes that you think I should try?
