Favorite Neutral Palette

Now a days there are so many nude palettes on the market that it becomes difficult to find one that suits you. Like everyone else, I wanted to try the coveted Urban Decay Naked Palette but didn’t really want to spend the $50 on it. So one day at Ulta, I spotted the NYX Nude on Nude palette that retails for $25 on sale for $14! Without hesitation, I purchased it and have never looked back!

*The Palette is currently $25 at Ulta but always look out for a sale!*

Why I love it:

  • Amazing range of colors!
  • Matte and shimmer shades
  • 20 shades!
  • Very pigmented
  • Amazing lasting power (with primer!)
  • The price!
  • Multipurpose
  • Every color you need in one compact package
  • Includes lip colors!
  • Lot of great one color shades for quick makeup looks
  • Cruelty Free

Swatches:

The palette really lets you play up a nude look during the day but also intensify at night with one of the amazing darker shades.

There isn’t enough good things that I can say about this palette because it has really come in handy! I used it on my graduation photos on my friend and I and it was amazing!

As always, I use a primer before applying the shadows for better lasting power and I’m always impressed by how beautiful the colors show up.

This is a picture taken by Alexander Rothschild for our College Graduations! My friend Jenine (left) and I right both have on the NYX Nude on Nude Palette and it truly photographed well!

Here is a close-up of my eyes after using the NYX Palette!

Hope you all enjoyed this post about my favorite nude palette! What is your favorite nude palette?

This product was purchased by me and these are my true and honest opinions!

What’s in my travel makeup bag!

This weekend I’m in Orlando to see my boyfriend and as I was packing I thought about being really good with the amount of makeup I took! On this particular trip, I was only taking a carry on just because I didn’t want to trot around with a huge bag for just one weekend. I went light on my makeup bag with which is pretty impressive and I’m pretty happy with myself! I also knew that I would go shopping so downsizing the amount of clothes wasn’t that hard.

In this post, I will share with you all what I take in my makeup bag for one weekend.

Makeup:

  • Nude on Nude by NYX eye shadow palette
  • Blue Flame single eye shadow by MAC
  • Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden
  • Travel size version of High Beam
  • MAC blush in Emote
  • ELF blush and contouring duo
  • MAC Black track Fluid Line
  • Maybelline Colossal mascara
  • Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation in Sand
  • Loreal Perfecting Base Primer
  • Duo Eyelash Adhesive
  • Elite Lashes #18
  • MAC Russian Red
  • Jordana Lip Pencil in Sedona Red
  • NYX Round Lipstick in Spell Bound
  • Victoria’s Secret Lip Gloss in I Want Candy
  • MAC Studio Fix power in NC35
  • Wet & Wild Brow Kit in Ash Brown
  • Revlon Photo Ready Concealer in Medium
  • Kirkland Travel Makeup Remover towelettes

Brushes:

  • MAC 224
  • MAC 187
  • MAC 129
  • MAC 212
  • MAC 239

  • Target Angled brush

This may look like a long list but it really isn’t! I was also able to fit it all in this cute Zebra and Pink bag from Marshalls! Of course I carry this with my on the plane because I’m always scared about something breaking if I check it in or even put it up with my carry on.

Is this a good list or should I have taken less? Tell me about how you all travel!
